Resources

The following is a list of resources which I felt any visitors to my site may be interested in. Some are other therapists in case you are looking for something I don't or can't provide. Others are mostly for services which are complimentary to the work I do. And then there is the occasional resource which has nothing to do with mental health...just because I want to share that person or organization's site with all of you. Of course, if you have a need which is not listed here, please call or email and I will do my best to direct you.

Parenting Tool Box

Parenting resources and ideas for all types of parents with all types of kids.

Core Belief Psychotherapy (CBP) is a process of therapy which was developed by Alice Brown, LPC, of Plymouth, MI, and I am certified in CBP. This is an ideal process for those who have chronic low self esteem, mood problems, emotion regulation problems, etc. CBP isn't for everyone, but if you are interested, click on the link above and read about it. If, after reading about CBP you believe you might be a candidate for the process, please call or email me to schedule an appointment.

Linda has a private practice in Northwest Portland. Her most unique skill is in working with adults with ADHD.

Jen Gomoll, LPC

Jen says, "I work from my heart which is tempered and informed by traditional psychodynamic theory and the modalities of existential and humanistic counseling. Working in this way promotes self-discovery, increases personal responsibility, and allows clients to better understand the vastness of choice in their lives."

Michael is a former teacher and has 16 years experience working with children and families in mental health. View his site for all of his great services, including Parent Coaching.

Colorado Center for Healing & Change

Kelly Johnson's clients find her style to be a healthy balance of superior insight, active listening, and gentle confrontation. Kelly believes the relationship between the client and counselor is the key to healing. She provides therapy services rooted in authenticity, acceptance, and empowerment. Kelly believes honesty and accountability are also essential in the healing process. She works together with people to explore beliefs, behaviors, and attitudes that may hinder growth and positive change.  Kelly is solution focused and goal orientated in her approach to therapy.  In other words, She genuinely wants to see her clients moving forward with their life; learning  new skills, thoughts, and behaviors.

The Committed Parent blog

Kate Raidt's Blog

Kate blogs about the twists, turns and triumphs of parenting, entrepreneurship, life and adventure.

Matthew is a local attorney who provides a very unique service to couples and families--he is a mediator who advocates for children in divorces. Look at his site, and if you or someone you know is going through divorce and children are involved...consider giving Michael a call.

Aaron is a freelance photographer in Portland, OR. He took all of the "natural" photos on my site, including the one at the top of this page, (the pictures of my office, inside and out were not taken by Aaron). Because I work in Portland, and with Portlanders, I wanted shots of our city to connect my work and my clients. Aaron provided me with shots of the PSU campus, the Fremont Bridge, which is a Pearl District icon, and other shots of nature in the beautiful Northwest. Visit his site--if for no other reason, just to marvel at his spectacular work.
